The editor of the ICT Tricks in ELT.
My name is Nurul Nakiah Abdullah (Nako Abdullah) and I'm a third year undergraduate student majoring in Teaching English as Second Language (TESL) and Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
Currently I'm undergoing a 6 year (2+3+1) teacher training course, a specially tailored twinning program with Warwick University under the Malaysian Education Ministry scholarship and I've completed my 2 years of teacher training foundation at Ipoh Campus of Teaching Institute, Malaysia.
I've learned so many things about teaching and learning for the past few years, mostly of theories and pedagogical practices, but I'm glad that this year I've had a chance to stray a bit from the glits and glams of teaching theories and dwell and explore more on the other side of the teaching - the ICT. I've got one of the best ICT experts Russell Stannard to teach me more about technology in teaching and to have someone who won various awards in ICT including the British Council ELTons Award is really a real deal for me.
The ICT Tricks in ELT blog is designed as a part of my course requirement but more than that, I do hope that through this blog I could share and give more insights to other teachers and teachers-to-be on how to integrate multitude of 2.0 Web Tools into classroom learning.
